Can a Ferrari salesperson make a lot of money?

I went to a Ferrari dealership a couple of months ago (just to look, I am still in college) and the salesman was really nice, he talk to me for a least twenty minutes. He told me that he had a Ferrari and he talked about where he lived, he lived in an awesome area of NJ. All he does is sell Ferraris and the Maseratis at the dealership. While I am going to school he said he did not go to college. Can you really make THAT much money just selling Ferrari cars? Serious answers only.|||Ferraris are allocated to dealers and normally they are sold well in advance, often years. The key is building relationships which many Ferrari dealers demand, and you can wheel and deal the trade ins. Ferrari dealers demand that cars be serviced at their dealers and if you can get a piece of the $12k for tune ups, and commissions on the new and used cards I suspect you could make fairly good money, maybe $100k per year.|||you can make a lot of money selling all kinds of cars, its possible that this salesman has 1 but not probable. These people who sell high end cars are ex car mgrs and people with a lot of experience. Theres a lot more people who want a new chevy, or ford, than a new ferrari. Go to work there and pay your dues then get a job at a high end dealership|||There is a high markup on Ferraris. I imagin their sales people make a good chunk off each sale. But keep in mind that even though he lives in a "awesome area of NJ" he could have inharrited the money or his wife might be an executive somewhere.|||dont believe the BS -- the only ferrari the salesman has home is a picture on his wall|||Ferrari cant be selling that well, so he was probably using this as a pitch to get you to buy one|||It depends on how much cars you sell, your boss.|||I know a millionairre that sells luxury cars like Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Infiniti, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Porsche Mercedes Benz, and Volvo. He owns 3 car lots.|||That depends if they can walk the walk and if they can talk the talk. Some salespeople are very good and talk to you about how they have one of the cars at home and it is very reliable and they are a lot of fun to drive and all this crap.

When actually they probably have a jaguar in there drive that is a company car and the closest they get to owning a Ferrari is sitting in one at the dealership.
