Does the Ferrari cam changeover similar to the VTEC in Honda?

I was listening to several Ferrari dynos and it sounds as if the there is a change in the cam profile like with Honda's VTEC/iVTEC motors. Is this accurate? There are many similarities in the way the high strung B16 and b18 motors are built as compared to the Ferrari motor. Just wondering.|||Same principle. The Ferrari can vary its valve timing (and valve lift) much like a Honda iVtec engine can to have a hotter cam profile available at higher RPM while remaining emissions legal and smooth and driveable at lower RPM too. The changeover is phased and gradual like an iVTEC, not just on/off at a set RPM like the earlier VTEC Honda engines (like the B16 that went to the hot cam very noticeably right at 5500rpm). The Ferrari also has a muffler bypass that opens the exhaust with large throttle openings at higher RPM to enhance the sound further (and slightly increase hp at higher RPM too).
